A well located but aging and obsolete 6-story office building in Montgomery County caught the eye of BECO Management. After looking at the facility for over a year, they moved forward. Stephens Architectural Associates, worked closely with the client and county officials, then the building underwent a complete renovation and remodeling. All the floors were completely gutted and new HVAC, electrical, communication and fire protection systems were installed. An additional fire stairway was installed, public spaces including rest rooms, elevator lobbies, elevator cabs and the main entry lobby were upgraded and remodeled. After remaining virtually vacant for over two years, the renovated building was completely leased in 6 months as shell space was completed.
